About the SRC1 Sponge Classifier Unit

Our SRC1 Sponge Classifier Unit is a mobile recycling unit for our Spongerite blasting media and any other Sponge media brand.

The SRC1 Sponge Classifier Unit is designed to efficiently reduce sponge media consumption by separating good reusable media and fine sponge that can create dust.

The SRC1 Sponge Classifier Unit uses high speed vibrations to shake and sieve the used Sponge Media over 2 different size mesh sieves.

The first mesh Screen separates the unwanted over-sized contaminates that may have been recovered with the media.

The second sieve separates the reuseable sponge media from the fines waste.

  • Efficiently reduces abrasive consumption and dust emissions, separating good, reusable Sponge Media from dust, contaminants and/or potentially harmful waste, which might normally become airborne in dust
  • Decreases abrasive costs, freight, handling, clean-up and disposal costs up to 90% by reusing Sponge Media 5 to 8 times
  • Separates used media into 3 streams: oversized waste, good reusable media and fine waste.
  • Screen size maybe changed for optimised flow and dust requirements
